Welded tubes

High-performance TIG-welded tubes in stainless steel, made by Tecnofar.

Tecnofar S.p.A.’s welded tubes are produced by cold-roll forming strips of stainless steel and of alloys with a high nickel content.

Today, our production department is equipped with 11 modern TIG welding lines (weld joint efficiency factor V = 1), with calibration of the outer diameter and the option for heat treatment in a built-in controlled atmosphere.

The forming rolls, designed and specially manufactured within our company, make the precision and quality our customers seek a reality across our entire welded-tube production range (outer diameter ranging from 3 to 76 mm).

Each production line incorporates a built-in system for weld testing using eddy currents and a system for measuring the outer diameter. These are joined by additional automatic testing systems we have developed internally, the fruit of long experience in tube production and of ongoing research to improve quality and customer satisfaction.

In 1999, Tecnofar S.p.A. equipped its welding lines with induction furnaces for the heat treatment of its tubes. This technology makes it possible to maintain the metal’s natural shine, while simultaneously lending it malleability and consistent mechanical properties. Thanks to these characteristics, Tecnofar S.p.A.’s welded tubes are highly prized at the international level.
